Birth of the Foundation

Majuli, the biggest river island in the world has always been the attraction of the people from all around world. But in many ways the people of the island has been isolated, to some extent, from the rest of the world. This isolation, in other way has been a blessing for the island and its people, keeping the island a virgin one, pollution free, peaceful, rich in bio diversity, generosity in the mind of the inhabitants. And also the Vaishnavata culture in Majuli has contributed to the richness of the values and ethics of the society.

In 2016, we landed in Majuli, stayed and studied its uniqueness and potentialities. We observed that in Assam, Majuli is next to Kaziranga where maximum numbers of tourists come, not only from our country itself, but also from many different countries of the world. Again there is another USP that many tourists from different states and countries choose Majuli as their preferred destination for longer duration of stay. It was observed that many foreign tourists who renew their visas and stay back here, some of them even learn the local language, life style and habits and other things too.

The concept begins here only, we conceptualized: - “why only the tourists learn from Majuli, why not the Majulians should learn and accept the language, knowledge, expertise, experiences etc from the tourists.

So, we conceptualized to build a community hub where people from any corner of the world can come here and LIVE, WORK AND SHARE, their experiences, expertise; also exchange their knowledge, language, culture, tradition, cuisine, sports, music, value and ethics and any other things that can contribute to build a better society, with the local communities. We have designed several projects and schemes for the economic benefits of the communities through collective work and mutual sharing with the tourists. We are also promoting yoga, pranayama and meditation and organizing many events for better mental and physical health of the people.
